Credit Applications for NetSuite
A contractor applies on their phone, on a page under your name. Lunica verifies the business, gathers the bank and trade references, and puts a finished packet in front of your credit manager; approve, and the account is ready for NetSuite.

Click through the steps. Fictional data, in NetSuite’s terms; the real thing runs on NetSuite.
An application under your name: company, EIN, owner, bank, three trade references, requested terms, signature.
Tools in this workflow.
Pieces your customers and your team use directly, on their own or inside this workflow.
The problem, as it happens in NetSuite.
Most dealers still open accounts from a PDF. The contractor fills it in by hand, somebody scans it to the credit desk, and a week disappears into reference calls and a bank letter before anyone opens a customer record in NetSuite. Meanwhile the yard has already sold to them C.O.D.
The decision itself, the limit, the terms, whether it’s a house account, lives in one person’s head and gets keyed into the customer record from a note. Six months later the account is on credit hold and nobody can find the application.
How it works.
- 1
The customer applies online
An application under your name, on any phone: company, EIN, owner, bank, three trade references, requested terms, signature. Cash and C.O.D. customers apply for terms from the same portal they pay in.
- 2
Lunica verifies the business
EIN and address match, liens and judgments, bank account verified, trade references requested and chased until they answer. Consumer credit only with the applicant’s signed consent.
- 3
Your credit manager decides
The desk opens on applications waiting for a decision, oldest first, each with a finished packet and a recommendation under your credit policy. Approve, set the limit and the terms code, Net 30 or 2% 10 Net 30, or decline. Every decision is recorded.
- 4
The account is ready for NetSuite
Name, terms code and limit go back to NetSuite as a NetSuite API call or CSV import where one exists, or keyed by your team from what Lunica prepared. The signed application stays on file as a PDF for a lien claim or counsel.
How it connects to NetSuite.
Lunica reads the customer record and NetSuite’s open items through SuiteQL and the REST API, under a role that can only read, so an application from a customer you already sell to C.O.D. shows up with their history beside it: what they bought, how they paid, whether a Net 30 account was ever opened and closed. The application itself is hosted under your name; the connection to NetSuite runs on one server inside your network that connects out to your NetSuite account.
Nothing is written to NetSuite by Lunica, and nothing goes to the customer on its own: a note to the applicant is a draft until a person sends it, and reference requests go only to the suppliers the applicant named and signed for. Approving an application produces the account record, name, terms code, limit and contacts, and it goes back as a NetSuite API call or CSV import where one exists, or keyed by your team from what Lunica prepared. The signed application, the references and the decision stay together as one record.
What a week looks like.
- Applications arrive finished: signed, verified, references in.
- The desk opens on the work: oldest application first, with the NetSuite history beside it.
- Every decision leaves a record: who approved, what terms, the signed PDF.
- Existing cash customers move to terms without a new form.
Questions
Does Lunica write to NetSuite?
Not on its own. Approving an application produces the account record. It goes back as a NetSuite API call or CSV import where one exists, or keyed by your team from what Lunica prepared. Nothing changes in NetSuite without a person.
Where does the application live?
On a page under your name and domain, hosted by Lunica. The signed application, the references and the decision stay together as one record.
Do you pull the owner’s personal credit?
Only with the applicant’s signed consent on the application. Your team sees a score band, not the report.
What does the applicant need?
A phone. The application takes about ten minutes, saves as they go, and asks for the bank and references in the same sitting.
What if they already have an account?
They apply for terms from the portal they already pay in, and the application shows up with their NetSuite history beside it.
How long to set up?
The application is available under your name in days. The connection to NetSuite and your credit policy, limits by tier and who signs off, follow in the first weeks.
Does it need a server?
Lunica runs on one server inside your network that connects out to your NetSuite account, set up and maintained by Lunica. It reads NetSuite through SuiteQL and the REST API, under a role that can only read. There is no inbound connection from outside your network.
What does Lunica read in NetSuite?
The customer record, open items and terms, purchase orders and receipts, the item record, quotes and order history, as each workflow needs them. Read-only, and only the rows a task is about.
Can it post to NetSuite?
Nothing lands in NetSuite without a person. What belongs in NetSuite goes back as a NetSuite API call or CSV import where one exists, or keyed by your team from what Lunica prepared.
What about our documents?
Invoice copies and scans keep living in the File Cabinet. Lunica reads them when a workflow needs one and never writes to them.
