Daily Sales Flash for QuickBooks Enterprise
Every morning, the people you enrol get yesterday from QuickBooks as of close: sales and gross profit by branch against last year and the month to date, open orders, the biggest tickets. Every figure opens the rows behind it. Nothing to build in a report writer.

Yesterday by branch, against last year and the month, from QuickBooks as of close. To Priya and Sam, nobody else.
The problem, as it happens in QuickBooks.
The owner wants to know how yesterday went before the first customer is at the counter. What exists is a sales report in QuickBooks somebody runs at nine, exports, and pastes into an email with the branch totals retyped. On the days that person is out, there is no email. On the days there is one, it says sales, not margin.
So the questions get asked by phone. What was the big ticket at Route 9? Are we ahead of last October? Who sold the truss package? Each one is a report somebody has to run, and the answers arrive after the point at which they would have changed anything.
How it works.
- 1
The close is read overnight
After QuickBooks’s day end, Lunica reads yesterday’s invoices and credits, open orders and quotes, by branch, by salesperson, by category, with cost, so gross profit is real and not estimated.
- 2
The email is written
Sales and gross profit by branch, against the same day last year and the month to date. Open orders and what’s due to ship. The biggest tickets, with the customer and the job. Counts for the counter: tickets, average ticket, cash against charge.
- 3
It arrives before the doors open
To the people you enrolled, at the hour you set. The owner’s copy and the branch manager’s copy can differ: one sees the company, one sees Route 9.

Every figure opens the rows
Click a number and the invoices behind it are there, from QuickBooks, as of close. Ask a follow-up in plain English and the answer cites the rows it came from.
How it connects to QuickBooks.
Lunica reads QuickBooks’s invoice history, open orders, quotes, the customer record and the item list through the QuickBooks SDK on the machine that hosts the company file, under a read-only connection, after the day end, with cost as QuickBooks has it. Last year’s figures come from the same history, same day of the week, so a Tuesday is compared to a Tuesday.
Nothing is written to QuickBooks, and nothing is sent on its own beyond the flash itself, which goes on the schedule you set to the staff you enrolled. The rows behind each figure open on Lunica’s page, read from QuickBooks. Anything a figure prompts someone to change is keyed by your team in QuickBooks.
What a week looks like.
- The owner knows yesterday before the counter opens.
- Gross profit by branch is a figure, not a guess from a sales number.
- Last year’s same day sits beside this one, so the comparison is fair.
- The follow-up question is answered from the rows, not by a phone call to the branch.
Questions
Does it write anything to QuickBooks?
No. It reads invoice history and open orders after the close and writes the email. What anyone changes as a result, they change in QuickBooks.
Who gets the email?
The people you enrol, and only them. Each person’s copy can be scoped: the whole company, one branch, one salesperson’s book.
How is gross profit computed?
From the cost on each invoice line as QuickBooks recorded it at the sale, so it matches what the month-end margin report will say.
What about credits and returns?
Netted on the day they post, and shown on their own line so a big return doesn’t hide in the total.
Can we add a figure?
Yes. Say what you want to see, in plain English, and it’s on tomorrow’s email. Each figure keeps a link to its rows.
What if the close runs late?
The email waits for the day end in QuickBooks and says which day it covers. It never sends a half day as a whole one.
Does it need a server?
Lunica runs on one Windows server inside your network, beside the company file, set up and maintained by Lunica. It reads QuickBooks Enterprise through the QuickBooks SDK on the machine that hosts the company file, under a read-only connection. There is no inbound connection from outside your network.
What does Lunica read in QuickBooks?
The customer record, open items and terms, purchase orders and receipts, the item list, quotes and order history, as each workflow needs them. Read-only, and only the rows a task is about.
Can it post to QuickBooks?
Nothing lands in QuickBooks without a person. What belongs in QuickBooks goes back as the QuickBooks SDK where it allows, or keyed by your team from what Lunica prepared.
What about our documents?
Invoice copies and scans keep living in the attachments on the transaction. Lunica reads them when a workflow needs one and never writes to them.
